In house we have Get Sugared - who are proud to be the first sugaring service in Santa Teresa, and are redefining the hair removal experience as something which is not a chore or an inconvenience, but an opportunity for self care.
Mathilde decided to start sugaring after a not-so-pleasant waxing experience of her own, which made her realise there had to be a better way. While effective hair removal is important, what really sits at the heart of this work is how you feel during the appointment.

Get Sugared is a calm, respectful space where women are treated like people, where appointments aren’t rushed, and your comfort is always prioritised. You won’t be expected to grit your teeth or push through discomfort, you’ll be checked in with throughout and supported every step of the way.

And that level of care even goes into the Sugar Paste we use, consisting of only Sugar, Lemon Juice and Water, and made by Mathilde in-house! The all-natural ingredients are suitable for sensitive skin, and we gently remove the hairs from the root, which causes permanent hair reduction.

For many women, body hair is a source of great discomfort and insecurity, and sometimes this results in hair removal “by any means necessary”. Whether it’s shaving everyday just for the stubble to grow back straight away, or traumatic waxing experiences where you’re left with burns, bumps, and ingrown hairs.

I am really happy there is a sugar service in town and Mathilde makes it efficient, virtually painless and fun. She has become a good friend through spending time regularly getting hair removal, which I no longer dread and actual enjoy (never thought I'd say that).
She makes the sugar herself and it's all natural. Mathilde herself always improves her service each time I go (last time I enjoyed a new healing oil added at the end of my service after the warm towel).
Mathilde is professional and caring. Sugaring itself is less painful overall and the hair grows slower than with waxing/shaving in my experience. Definitely a repeat customer here!
