I created Skin & Soul Holistics with a lot of intention.

Santa Teresa is a very high-vibration place. Many people say it’s because of the quartz in the earth beneath us - you can actually find pieces of this crystal right on the beaches here. (Although if you do - please leave it where you found it!) There’s an undeniable energy to this town. It’s alive, stimulating, creative, wild. A truly unique place in this beautiful country Costa Rica.

But everything needs balance, and the energy here can sometimes feel a lot….

We’re in the elements all day - sun, salt, dust, exercise, adventures, movement, surf. There’s constant activity, social energy and stimulation. And while that can feel magical, the nervous system still needs somewhere to rest, reset, and recharge.

I wanted to create a space that felt like coming home.

You are welcome to arrive at Skin & Soul exactly the way Santa Teresa leaves you - sandy, salty, sun-kissed, hair still damp from the ocean, skin warm from the sun

When you step inside and take your shoes off at the door, your bare feet meet our cosy rug. That is intentional, a way to begin grounding you. 

The senses begin to receive the comfort around you - the smell of incense gently burning and the natural aromas of the skincare we use. You are welcome to drink a tea, invited to slow down, and depending on your treatment - guided into a foot soak ritual that washes away the outside world.

This isn’t a spa where you feel rushed, judged, or observed, there is nothing clinical about the way we operate...It’s a space where your nervous system can finally exhale.

Skin & Soul is a woman-led, female-empowering spa.

This space has never been just about beauty or aesthetics. It’s about supporting and empowering women to feel like the best versions of themselves - from the inside out.

Here, we don’t speak negatively about ourselves.Body hair isn’t something to shame.“Bad skin” isn’t a failing.

Beauty isn’t vanity. It’s a reflection of our inner world and the value we place on ourselves. When we feel good within ourselves, we have more to give - to our families, our work, our relationships, our communities.

This belief is my passion, and it’s shaped how I have created this spa.

Gentle Care for Beach Life Bodies

Our sugaring services are offered in a way that feels calm, respectful, and gentle - helping guests feel confident and bikini-ready without stress or pain. The environment itself makes a difference. When the body feels safe, everything softens.

Our full-body massages support post-surf recovery, release tension from life in the elements, and help the body integrate movement and rest.

Our holistic facials are personalised and intuitive - designed to soothe, revive, and restore skin that’s been kissed by sun, salt, and travel. We focus on results - at the same time as regulation and care: that’s what makes it holistic.

When the nervous system rests, the skin responds.

A Boutique, Personal Experience

Skin & Soul is boutique, luxury, small, and personal.

It’s family-run - with myself and my niece - and I intentionally work with only Costa Rican employees to support the local community that holds this space.

Even the brands we align with are chosen carefully. Every product, every ritual, every detail reflects the same values: integrity, intention, and respect for the body.

In our shop you should be able to find everything you need to care for your skin, hair and self during beach days, home life and beyond. if you are a visitor, you can take a piece of the experience home with you.
